Focus on older hardware
We work on the doors that are actually common in this area, which means a lot of our calls are for hardware installed between the late 1980s and the mid-2000s.
Get in touch
Call us at (984) 290-6883 or stop by 1701 Center St, Apex, NC 27502. If you're dealing with a door that won't open, a spring that let go, or an opener that's just clicking at you, the phone is the fastest way to get a truck moving.

That's useful to know before you call, because it helps us bring the right parts the first time instead of guessing. We don't try to be everything to everyone.
If your job is outside what we handle, we'll tell you straight instead of taking the call just to take it. That's not a sales pitch, it's just how we keep from wasting your afternoon waiting on a truck that can't fix the problem.
Our services
Most of the homes we get called to went up between 1986 and 2006, with a lot of that stock concentrated in four main areas built out through the 80s and 90s.
That era brought its own quirks: extension spring setups that got phased out mid-run, early chain-drive openers that are now well past their expected service life, and steel panels that have taken thirty-some winters of freeze-thaw without much trouble, until the day they finally bind on the track.
We handle broken torsion and extension springs, cable replacement, roller and track repair, opener swaps, and panel replacement when a section's been dented or rusted through at the bottom. What we don't do is pretend every door is worth saving.
Sometimes a torsion spring job on a door that's otherwise in rough shape costs more than just replacing the unit, and we'll say so before we quote the smaller repair. Parts for some of the older chain-drive openers from this era aren't made anymore, so a straight swap on those isn't always possible, and we'll tell you that up front too.
Service area
We're based out of Apex and run most of our calls within about a 20-mile radius, out to Morrisville roughly 8 miles away, Pittsboro and Angier each around 16 miles out, and Carrboro at about 18 miles. Household income in this service area runs a median of $75,359, and across the roughly 25,464 households here, about 6,065 are owner-occupied houses, the kind of property where a dead spring or a dented panel is a problem the owner has to solve directly rather than call a landlord.
The winters here are cold enough, moderate rather than severe, to matter for steel doors and torsion springs over a few decades, which is part of why this housing-stock era keeps us busy with spring and hardware calls rather than just cosmetic work. We stick to this radius because it's the area we actually know the housing stock in, not because we're trying to limit the business.
Questions
Yes. We take calls out to roughly a 20-mile radius, including Morrisville, Pittsboro, Angier, and Carrboro. If you're farther out than that, call and ask, we can tell you whether it makes sense for us to send a truck.
Often yes, but not always. A lot of openers from that era are chain-drive units where replacement parts are no longer made. We'll look at what's actually failed first, since sometimes it's the opener, sometimes it's the springs taking the load wrong, and tell you honestly whether repair or replacement makes more sense.
Depends on the door. If the panels and track are solid and it's just the spring, repair is usually the better call. If the door is from the same era as the spring and showing rust or dents too, we'll tell you when replacement is the cheaper option over time.
